1. Start by opening up the detox pathways

Before beginning any type of modality, especially to cleanse harmful biotoxins, chemicals, heavy metals, and parasites, it’s important to support the body’s pathways for toxin elimination first. This leads to more effective removal of toxins from the body. 

It’s important to be pooping 2-3 times per day before moving ahead with your detox regimen. To open up the colon pathways for toxin release, you need to pee, poo, and/or sweat. What exactly is an enema?

An enema is a type of colon cleanse that involves infusing liquid into the colon via the rectum. Prior to the introduction of pharmaceutical laxatives, which although more convenient, pose harmful side effects including dependency, irritation, and laziness of the bowel, enemas were the standard medical practice.

Most importantly, a 2-liter enema kit can help alleviate acute constipation from the lower bowel. When filled with purified water, held, and then released in the toilet, a water enema is the perfect, non-toxic, and immediate solution for constipation. This can also aid in re-toning the colon muscles, which are essential for peristalsis.

Are they safe?

Yes, enemas are safe! We always use FDA-approved, non-toxic, organic materials with safe, easy clean-up and storage options. Please follow your instructional booklet for correct usage. And always check with your primary care physician or licensed medical professional before attempting a coffee enema.

Please consult with your medical professional if any of the following exist:

  • Currently undergoing chemotherapy
  • Renal, cardiac or respiratory failure
  • Bleeding and/or ulceration in the colon tract
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Crohn’s disease

Is the process messy?

No, it’s not messy, but you’ll want to make sure you use the clamp on the hose. This ensures the solution does not trickle out of the hose. We recommend performing your enema on a towel in the shower or bathroom floor, close to the toilet for easy “hold-to-flow” access.

How often can I do an enema?

The following is a general recommendation. Keep in mind everyone’s journey is different.

  • 2-3x a week early in your journey
  • 1-2x a week as you begin healing 
  • 1-2x a month for maintenance mode 
  • An additional 1-2x a month during flare ups or particularly stressful moments in life 

However, we recommend a 360° approach to gut therapy. Complement your enemas with castor oil packs, herbal teas, and a healthy diet and lifestyle to ensure optimal gut health!

When is the best time of day to do an enema?

Anytime at all, although on an empty stomach is the most beneficial. Because you may get a boost of energy after your first enema, we recommend your first time is in the morning. After that, many people find themselves very relaxed after evening enemas.

Is it painful? What if I can’t hold it for 15 minutes?

It’s not painful, but holding the solution can be hard at the beginning. Don’t be discouraged if you can only hold it for a few minutes during your first attempts. Just like when you train at the gym, you’re training your colon!  It's gonna strengthen each time, And so each time you'll be able to hold it even longer and longer.
